seems like my obsession with holy ghost! hasn’t gone anywhere. ‘wait & see’ is another song from their album that’s out yesterday, and the best part is that it’s also available as a free download! you can get it from soundcloud. itunes also offers their ‘say my name’ as a free download.

i know, i hear by holy ghost!
yep, another holy ghost! i think they’re pretty much my favourite band, both with their music and how they do it. sure, they got better tracks and remixes than this, but somehow they’re just … cool. :)
drunk girls (holy ghost! remix) by lcd soundsystem
i just can’t get over holy ghost! those guys are awesome. the kind of beat that they have … o boy , it just gets under my skin. and it’s the same with this drunk girls remix. and to know that those guys are still on analog synths – just amazing.
for those who are interested in how holy ghost! makes music – check this video out.
holy ghost! in their usual goodness. i can’t deny that those guys have been among my favourites since i first heard them. and each time i’m a bit worried that they don’t deliver. but time and time again they do. so what they did with friendly fires’ cover, is they’ve turned it into their well-known calm disco vibe and added that ‘stepping forward’ feel that they have. well done, to both of the teams!
at times like these, i wish it was possible to post multiple songs at once. cause what has happened is that friendly fires and holy ghost! have decided to cover one another’s songs. happy days! for the first minute i wasn’t convinced by the outcome of this cover, but then it started to grow on me. and overall i think they did a pretty nice job at covering a track that was absolutely strong from the beginning.
i will come back (classixx acapulco nights version) by holy ghost!
hell yeah. holy ghost! has been in my fave list since i first heard of them. and tbh i’ve been waiting a new track from them for some time. now that it’s out, it’s also got a very very nice remix from classixx, taking the track from nyc scene to the sandy, blue mexico beach… awesome chilled and spaced out music.
i’m not sure if ‘mix 3’ is it’s real mix name, but holy ghost! has been doing some fabulous stuff and this track is definately one of my favourites from last year.
spectacle wins (holy ghost! remix) by only fools and horses
haunted? definately. by holy ghost! and the fantastic tick in their remixes. their tracks have the feel of going nowhere in a hurry, taking all the time they need to make you move in a weird trance you might recognize when you’ve been on the dancefloor for hours after midnight… and you think, ohmagad! this… track… good… can’t leave yet…
this is meistr’s tumblelog of good music and occasional random stuffs.
this blog has recently been mainly music oriented, with big emphasis on fresh electro sounds. fresh as in spaking new, or fresh as straight from the 80s. but always something of a personal preference.
meistr is also known as martin kapp, a computer geek working in skype, coding the nice webs, a bass player with insane riffs, a photo enthusiast like almost everyone else…
